The serenity of Redang

It's been a long time since I posted some photos.
These are taken in Pulau Redang, an island off Kuala Terengganu.

Dramatic colours of the clouds during sunset.

The line of rocks at the right side shows up at low tide.

i really like the 3rd... STAR TRAILS!!!! I wish u could have left it for as long as you could... let the trails move across the horizon, but then u have to sleep with ur tripod! hehe..

Wow... i like the 3rd picture best. Very nice, especially the star trails. Nick is a little cruel... not only will you fall asleep on your tripod, but might drown when the tide comes in... ;p

Very nice. I like the 2nd pic best. Shows serenity indeed ;)

iceberg :
taken at ard 10pm

jazer :
1st, took a quick snapshot at F4.0(largest already), ISO3200, 30sec.
Then looked at the histogram, to determine the best exposure time at ISO100, F5.6, for the foreground to be prefectly exposed.

It was then determind that 30 mins will create a good enough exposure for the foreground, while the sky still remains relatively dark.

The stars will be exposed properly at ISO100, F5.6. :)

Haha.. U're not the 1st to ask that qn. Basically I'm on a portable pier, which is tied to the boat, & is ard 30cm in front. My intention in that photo is to show the line of rocks, a whole boat may not be good. But I've other compositions of the whole boat though, just that didn't show it. ;)

The pictures are pretty
with all the time in redang u got funny ideas :)
but i have to say these 3 pictures dun show redang much.
but still they are quality shots
