Definitely much better. I think you should leave the original photo unchanged and post the retouched version here also so that we all can compare the before and after shots for learning purpose.

the wire coming into the picture created a kind of confusion. what is it ? it would be best to keep the wall plug, it comples the story more.

and I think the photo would look better in a more panoramic crop. You can cut off abit from the top and bottom. The "close to squarish" format does not work well

I think the guy's charging his phone.. looks like a nokia charger and either a white 3210 or 3310.

why? its pretty ironic in a couple of ways

- he's tapping into "free" electricity
- he's quite simple in his dressing
- he's eating the traditional india way
- he's sitting on the floor

very cultural contrasting. tts why i love it
