The Importance of Good Lighting

When I first started on avian photography about two years ago, one of the rules that I knew is Good Lighting = Good photo. But I never fully realised how true it was until this morning, when I took a shot of the little 'No-tailed Shrike' under good lighting condition :bigeyes: .

What a wonderful reminder of an old rule...

Shot with fz30 and tcon-17, no flash.

Nothing much. Just the usual steps with Photoshop Element 3:

1) Selective denoising of background (Actually not necessary but I usually do it for 8R print)
2) Up the shadow/highlights a bit (Normally not necessary, but I accidentally under-exposed the shot)
3) Crop/Resizing and USM.
