The human eye

Was poking around and found:

Leica 50mm f/0.95 Noctilux-M tagged as "out-performs the human eye"

Then I scratch head and wonder... hmmm... interesting... I wonder if the human eye is considered a camera+lens, what would be its spec? Such as what is its f-stop, focus length, zoom, ISO, shuttle speed etc.

Anyone know?

Shutter speed, not shuttle speed...

Why want to know? You are making a camera out of a human eye?

ISO: 1 - 800 equivalent
Aperture: f2.1 - f8.3 (f3.5 dark-adapted is claimed by the astronomical community)

i disagree with this assumption though

i can see objects in a near pitch black room
but my camera can't at widest aperture (f1.8) and iso 12800 (need more than 10sec exposure)
i was playing with my camera in the dark when i just got my setup

Sensor on the camera is related to the nerves from the eyes which is linked to our brain. So what you are saying is that human brain is better than camera sensor. Not comparing lens with eyes
