1. In what area is critique to be sought?
Composition, technique/method.

2. What one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
the water reflection - calmness and the sky colour changing tone.

3. Under what circumstance is the picture taken?
Night, long exposure, with a tripod.

4. What the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture?
think without the construction the overall will be better.

pic not edited, C & C are very much appreciated. thanks

"think without the construction the overall will be better.".... agree...

The purples seem to be properly exposed ..... but at the expense of the brighter areas which are overblown (construction site and the underside of the roof).... suggest exposing for the brighter areas and bracketing ... or dialing up your EVs from there

Too many elements competing for attention in your image......... choose one

a. the hotel
b. the bridge
c. the construction site

Sure you can attempt to include all 3 elements but you will need to look for a 'line' or 'flow' that connects all 3 properly

best of luck !!

That cucumber looking stuff is a sky park, so do give some sky to it.

Knowing that the construction site is an eyesore ( before or after taking the picture ? ) should have avoid it completely.

Try to shoot the Sands from somewhere due East, it is more interesting.

Do your nite shot a bit early next time.

hehe. first we have the durian, now the cucumber.

The shape and outline rsemble much to either...

a cucumber, or a peeled banana...need no hard imagination actually.

But it takes a different form when view from the city hall and even more drama from due East, view across the otherside from the Marina Barrage ( or should say the river mouth ) also very exciting from Tanjong Rhu.

noted on giving more sky to the sky park. :D
i cant find a nice angle that is able to avoid the construction but i will be zooming in more to avoid it.
shooting for abit of the east side (at the stadium side? ) it is being block up. no access unless climb. haha

will look for more angle before taking shot. thks :D

Not 3 pillar...

but if you had seen those wooden cloth peg ( getting less nowadays ) and you place them upside down you will have an idea. Need to imagine it becomes large size.
