AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G (SE), is the best Auto Focus nifty fifty lens for value. If you purchased together with Nikon Df, this 50 f/1.8G SE was even cheaper !)

Where is the 50mm f1.8D? That is even more a 'lens-for-value'! Pocket-sized, quality comparable to its bigger 50 f1.8G version! And image quality is so sharp and clear that only bokeh quality tells them apart! :)

OTUS or the new Sigma for me... OTUS is amazzzzzing... But Ive placed my order for the Sigma with my normal dealer here. ;)

Jeff,
Good compilation. NSC has a demo set. I've tried to shoot some sample shots..not the best sample shots..but the last one did convince me it was a good lens... I am wondering if anyone will be selling any used set soon. :) not enough cash for new one.

For you Guys who are considering among Nikon AF-S 58 1.4 vs Nikon AI-S 58 1.2 vs Sigma 50 1.4 (non Art)

For my personal taste, I prefer AF-S 58 1.4 than the other two lenses, because it is so sharp in the center !!
Can you notice lot of pimples on her face in the photo taken by AF-S 58 1.4?

Nice! Yeah the 58/1.4 seems to be a tad sharper than the rest. <3

Did you notice that the Bokeh balls in the Sigma is almost totally round whereas the two Nikon versions are elliptical in shape? The round balls look more pleasing to me. Really looking forward to the new Art 50mm from Sigma! Will wait for that before making a final decision. Think will pass on the Noct-Nikkor. The price for that can probably pay for the 58/1.4 plus Sigma Art 50mm and have some extra I think.

Actually for skin tone, I prefer color from AI-S 58 f/1.2
What do you think about it?

That is a tad pale for my liking. I prefer the AFS 58/1.4 drawing although it is a bit too yellow for my liking. Subjective lah this sort of liking. Haha..
