A NATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION
(in commemoration of the 100th year of Alzheimer’s Disease)
The objective of this photography competition is to present a more positive human image of dementia. Photographs taken should reflect the reality of living with dementia, respecting the dignity of people with dementia and focusing on the person behind the disease instead of the illness itself. The theme, ‘Living with Dementia’ will otherwise be left open to interpretation.
Category 1: Student (Submissions from schools (secondary and tertiary levels)
Category 2: Open (the public with no age group limit)
Rules
1. Each individual can submit a maximum of 3 photographs only together with the official entry form. Official entry forms can be downloaded below.
2. Photographs should reach us latest by 31 July 2006. Attractive prizes awaits the winners!
3. Winning entries may stand a chance to compete internationally at the Alzheimer’s Disease International’s conference in Berlin on 12 to 14 October 2006.
4. Participants should note that the photographs submitted will not be returned to them after the competition and their works maybe exhibited for public viewing and for judging purposes.
