IMO, not much diff between this $98 Suntax thingy and a $850 macro flash by Canon. Morever, there's TTL on it, available on Canon and Nikon mount.

Any comments? :)

Hi Stephen,
So you really went ahead and tried it out! :D Was it the Dx-8R and is it possible to control the flash output? How much does the Nikon module cost?

It's Suntax, not Sunpak ;) Flash comes in 2 version, Nikon shoe and Canon shoe.

It's TTL flash, u may wanna try it out with a roll of 12 exposures with the camera

ckiang: it's a pen :D

How does it mount in front of the lens? Is there any thread size limit or what?

Thanks for the taught.:)

Which shop selling and can use on Dslr and G3?

u can use it on G3 as well as DSLR.
In fact, the photos are taken with the 10D using the macro lenses

It's just a Suntax auto-focus ring flash lor... no model number what-so-ever.

The build is the thing that puts me off....but for that kind of $$$, it's bang for the bucks.

Rubric: It's not Sunpak, no vario power output.

why dont post a picture of the flash n box for the rest ot see, then no need for the rest to be blur :p

since the flash is fully automatic TTL , can we compensate the flash via the camera flash settings ?
