Here are my collection of still life images from my Canon Powershot A520. I just upgraded to a S5 IS yesterday so hopefully, I have done justice to my previous cam.

is it mounted on tripod with ambient lighting?

good use of light here, i like the feather ones.

the first blackandwhite flower one has potential, if the lighting is done nicely without blowing out the highlights, and increase the exposure in the shadows slightly, will be a very melancholic photograph. good stuff!

omg it is such an honour to get positive remarks from you pros here.

i basically just use a lamp and the pieces are laid ontop of a plain black board witht he lamp (light source)located just above it. no tripod is used in any shots ;0
thinking of it, the canon powershot A520 is very much trusty indeed. hoho. i miss shooting stuff like this.
