1. in what area is critique to be sought?
composition, techniques and any other factors which i can improve on it.

2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work?
There wasn't any joss-sticks on the censer, therefore i hope this photo can give the viewer a feel that the temple was quite empty & peaceful at this moment.

3. under what circumstance is the picture taken? (physical conditions/emotions)
Photo taken @ Shuang Lin Temple in Kim Keat Link. Time: before my lunch around 1pm.
Taken at 50mm, F2.8, ISO100, Av mode.

4. what the critique seeker personally thinks of the picture
I feel that this is quite a good shot of my many. But i think there are some ways it can be improve. For e.g exposure, composition etc

very sharp. However, I dont quite like the angle. There is something about the bottom part of the photo which i think is distractive. I would crop that part out, if I cannot get another angle.

I agree. But it is unavoidable.

I find the colors distracting. perhaps you can convert it into a B&W and add a bit of vignette.

You can try the selective B&W, but my opinion will be to go full B&W.

I'm wondering if we convert this to bw ,should the censor be in light or dark color to be attractive?
