TCON-17 vs B-300

Saw a some comments between these 2 TCs, including the b-300.com website.

Its been debated before but need u guys to verify the following :
1) which has better lens quality?
2) Is B-300's weight heavier than TCON17?

btw, anyone have personally taken shots with these 2 TC and feel the diffs?
Its been quiet on the olympus forum. Let's get the posts coming.

TCON-17 is said to be improved version of B-300 (read in some forum). I use a TCON-17, a very good piece of glass. I guess B-300 is discontinued now.

TCON 17 looks the same as the B300 and has the same weight. Any difference in quality is minimal and might be more due to sample variation than anything else.

wanted to add that I don't own both (I have only the B300). my view is formed from what I read on dpreview forums and elsewhere.

Hi,

Have done the research before getting the TCON 17. As feedback from some websites, TCON 17 is basically the same as B300 except it is newer and cheaper. Btw B300 is discontinued too.

Juz got my TCON-17, wonderful zoom. Highly recommended to those who are looking for a good teleconvertor. Will try it out at a convo later in the day for the stage shots.
