if i get a teleconverter, and use it with a prime lense, will it increase the magnification while keeping the min focus dist the same? does this make TC good for macros?

and buy an extension tube (25mm) at the same time..
Put the extension tube in between the extender and the lens, should be able to allows u to focus much closer

One sample taken by 300mm + 25mm extension tube + 1.4x TC (No cropping done)

I can go even closer but will need a tripod to maintain stability.

The image will look bigger & is good for macro of insect that you cannot get too close...
