I tried photographing parade of 'taoist gods' statue in IR,using D 50 and Hoya R 72.I used Iso 1600 for handheld camera for this situation of parade and exposure about 1/40-1/100 sec at f/3,5.Advices are welcome. Noiseware for noise reduction.PP is standard for IR photo.

Hi bdiarto,

They are great hand-held IR shots.

Very well done I think !

The noise is only to be expeted at ISO1600 so it does not alter that they are well taken.

Good captures !

:)

Yes agree with Pablo, though a bit noisy they nice shots.

But my opinion, a bit flat. Like Ark say "Apply a slight S-curve". Should be better.

Thanks for sharing.

Apart from the noise, these are very good handheld shots ;)
Looks eerie....

Ha! Ha! Have to agree with Ark, about the eeriness, which is enhanced by the black eyes caused by the IR...kinda makes the people look possessed, sort of zombie-like.

Cheers,
Matt

Maybe I am a romantic person, but I feel that in many cases, noise can add to the mood of the photographs... just like old photos tends to be grainy...
