hello, because i'm a newbie and budget is mainly an issue till i get better and am able to afford more, i saw the tamron af19-35 f3.5-4.5 which is pretty cheap and seems to get good reviews.

would you say it is worth it? thanks :)

Why no get the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 instead? Good range from 27mm to 80mm and a constant aperture of F/2.8 from end to end.

For those with a tight budget, the Tamron 19-35mm is pretty useable, and sharpness is better than the kit lens. I am still using this lens. And you can use it with FF or film SLR, which why I am still using it. The only bad thing is the focusing speed is a bit slow.

However if you have a bigger budget, the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 would be a better buy for your camera.

I will also suggest getting 17-50mm f2.8...
If not keep upgrading isnt going to help saving $$~

hmm i would like a 17-50 too but the price is doubled of it. the lower f2.8 is much better too i know, but i would prob use it more for landscape so lighting and time isn't really an issue i guess...??

but since i'm not in a hurry to buy maybe i'll just save up for the 17-50 too... :) good? hah
