Thinking of getting one of these 2 lens. Which one is better and why? Need advice as I am new to DSLR. Thanks!!!

There are already sooo many reviews regarding these two lenses and most conclude that they are on par with each other , and the canon and nikon ones are always tops...

That said i got the sigma one as its the smallest and i just find the tamron one plain ugly :sweatsm:

TS if you intend to get Tamron, might as well get 18-270, better range and useful for all-in-one walk about lens.;)

after looking at a number of samples on the net..
my eyes decided on the sigma..

all you have to do is google..

I went for the sigma also.. Tried it out for the first time at the zoo yesterday .. And was pretty happy with it. (btw I'm a newbie in dslr)
