Tammy 17-50 f2.8 screeching noise

hi,

i just bot a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 and found that it gives a loud screeching noise when autofucusing. Is this normal or there is somethg wrong wif e lens ?:dunno: Thks for feedback.

Loud and screeching as in someone 3 or 4 meters away from you can hear is not good. Get it exchanged.

If only you can hear and the person just next to you can't hear, no need to worry. Some people are extremely sensitive to the noise of the AF motor.
