For this evening Chingay I plan to use slide film with flash. As this is my first time using slides at night, would appreciate some advice.

Do I have to underexposure by 1/2 to 1 stop or use the correct exposure ?

For flash, do I need to dial in under or over-compensation ? If so by how much ?

Thanks.

- Don't compensate. Shoot as-is.
- Set flash to TTL
- Shoot.
- Play with low shutter speeds and slow-sync / rear-sync for some cool effects.

If unfamiliar with slides, play safe and shoot negs. :)

Thanks, CK. But why no compensation ... is it because it is already so dim ?

No, I find no need to. Usually a 1/3 stop underexposure is used to enhance colour saturation when shooting slides, but I find that the saturation is already good enough for me without any compensation.
