Has anyone successfully taken pictures off a LCD TV without vertical lines appearing in the image? I tried taking some shots of a tennis match yesterday with no luck at 1/800, 1/250, 1/60 etc. Seems the slower speeds help more.

You need to try 1/30 and slower.

You have to get your shutter speed to match the refresh rate of your LCD such that you capture the full cycle.

I always thought that LCDs dont have a refresh rate like a CRT. Anyway, I will try it out tonight and see how it goes.
