Syncing Achiever 260T Flash with Canon 20D? Possible?

I needed a flash, and I found this old flash that a friend used still in my household. I wanted to see if I could sync this with my Canon, and how I could do that?
Also, would it be a good flash? My base is nightlife photography... basically portrait like pictures of DJs and people.
