Hi to all friends on Clubsnap!
This will be my first time organising a photographic outing and hope the response will be good albeit the slightly late announcement.
I also hope to be able to help newbies and beginners once per month through such outreach.
Theme: Chinascapes
Date: 31st January 2010, Sunday
Meeting: Chinatown MRT Station, 9.45 am
Time: 10.00 am to 3.00 pm
Venue: Pagoda Street, China Square, Far East Square, Ann Siang Hill
To Bring: Camera, Water, Cap/Hat (Optional)
This time round, Surrephoto will be bringing newbies and learners to visit 2 vastly different "China" hidden within the CBD.
Chinese New Year is around the corner and Chinatown is bustling with festivites and non-stop "tong-tong-tong-chan" music. First, we will pay a visit to Pagoda Street to shoot images of merchants, street-stalls as well as consumers making their new year purchases. Next, we will visit China Square, Far East Square, Club St and Ann Siang Hill area to experience a more mysterious "China"; photographic treasures hidden within the shophouses of the old and past will be sure to allure!
Photography Topics to be covered this week;
1. Exposing properly for JPEG/RAW
2. Using metering modes correctly (Evaluative, Spot, Partial Meter).
During the outing, I will go around to help newbies and participants evaluate their images and answer questions.
To join, simply add your name to the growing list below and PM me your Contact Number. A final confirmation sms will be sent to you on 30th January, Saturday.
