Planning to head out to catch the super moon this coming Monday!

Anyone have experience with snapping the super moon in Singapore? Please share some tips!

What's the best location with a good view point? Perhaps with some landscape to frame it in as well? I think East would be the ideal spot?

You will need some really long lens to make the super moon look big.. Looking at beyond 800mm ( tried my 600x1.6, still look pathetically small)

For illustration of how big the moon is (both are not supermoon)

$IMG_0118 - Export.jpg 200mm on my 500d (320mm)

$IMG_0789 - Export.jpg 600mm on 500d (960mm)

Not big enough for those silhouette shots you may have seen online... Of cos, both shot on different occasions.

The super moon is said to be 15% bigger.. But, when it translate to the picture..... Not too much diff.

Supermoon (2016-11-15, 1 day after the "largest" supermoon night, since it was cloudy on actual day)
$20161115 Supermoon.jpg
600mm on 500d (960mm)

Can't see much difference between this and the previously uploaded one....

Unless I do this...
