Dear all,

I am organising an outing to shoot sunrise at the Promontory on Saturday (1st September 2012). Anyone is welcomed to join, regardless of level of competency and equipment. However, I am planning to keep the group small, as it is pointless to have a big group and everyone is doing different things and it gets very messy.

Thereafter, we may go for a breakfast where we can view each other's shots and discuss on what are the areas which are done well and which are the areas which we can do better. I will bring along a computer to facilitate the discussion over breakfast. More details will be released later.

Time: 6:30am to 7:30am (shoot), 7:30 - ? (breakfast and discussion)
Date: 1st September (Saturday)
Meet-up place: The Promontory

Items to bring:
1.Water
2.Camera & lens
2.Tripod (Important)
3.Umbrella (optional)

Please PM me by 29th August (Wednesday). More details will be sent out later.

Information to be PM-ed: Your real name, phone number, gender and age range (e.g. 20s for me). This is to help me to identify you on the day itself.

Please DO NOT sign up here (will not entertain any sign-ups here). Thank you. :)

Hi, as mentioned, I'd appreciate if you had PMed me. Anyway, the list is full and I have 3 people on waiting list. Will let you know if anyone pulls out. Thanks for your interest.

I have a few on reserved and have been asked to increase the number of participants. Just to clarify, i am intending to keep the size small because it is meaningless to have 20 to 30 people parking their tripod along the railings and start shooting and shooting, then after that pack up go home. Like that, honestly, might as well ownself quietly go shoot. Not much of a difference.

I understand the frustration of wanting to shoot together with fellow hobbyists but the list is full very quickly. If the first experience is good, I will subsequently organise more of such outings. Thank you.

Anyway for those who had signed up, the following is roughly what we may be shooting on Saturday. Today the sky wasn't quite good, so please pray for good sky/weather on Saturday morning! :bsmilie:
