Was reading up on these 2 flash units and they came in quite similar. Which do you guys prefer? Both price and quality wise.

Can you even find a Sunpak here? I recall some praise directed at them but never got to use one because of their absence here.

hi there. Okay this is one of those price vs quality kind of decisions. And to me for a flash i think either the 600 or 800 are both great flashes. Nikon is known for its lighting system. I have both flashes. And i just bought the 800 for $400 from buy and sell. I got it at quite literally mint condition.

To answer your question if price were not a determining factor i would go for the 800 if it is i would buy the 600. Why settle for the rest when you can have th best. :)

Hi there,

I was reading up abt Sunpak PZ42XN flash and it seems quite attractive.
But i have to say that the sunpak is going for abt $200 less than the SB-800,so its up to you whether you want to choose the sunpak or the Sb-800. From what i see, sunpak build is not bad compared to Nissin and Emoblitz.

Just my 2cents worth.

Rgds :D

I've seen quite a number of Sunpak at peninsula plaza. Model wise I am not too sure.

Why would you need a 3rd party flash unless you're really short on dough??

The CLS and compatibility of a Nikon flash would be the best deal. I'd advise you to stick to a Nikon flash.
