hi i was just wondering any of you subscribe to Straits Times Online instead of having the physical paper delivered to your house.

and why?

time? convenience?

don't like the feel of newspaper between your fingers?

save the trees?

for those who don't, would u ever consider switching?

i guess this is like whether you would get a Kindle or you will never stop reading paperback novels till the day u die.

For me, I only subscribe to online newspaper when I was working in china. Now that I am back, I still prefer to have a hard copy in my hands.

The feel is just different. Flipping the pages while drinking a cup of coffee is just relaxing.

I spend about 10hours/day on the computer and reading long news article on a glaring screen adds to the fatique, so I still prefer the paper version.

Besides, sometimes I bring thr papers to the toilet for "big business". It's more convienent :)

I see..

Must have 2 kinds of paper for the porcelain throne!

What about reading the news off your iphone?

I read BBC news on my blackberry... since it loads fast enough and they optimize it for smartphone browsing. If only other sites followed suit...

For news where i just need quick information and read on the go, i prefer to be on my tablet :)
For good old books, paperback over a cup of coffee still the choice for me.

my dog needs the hard copy because he shits on it everyday

I love the good old papers..
But family allergic to ink!!

So gotta read online. They hv feature to let u flip too!
