i think its a Night Heron but not really sure! Yes its a bird common found in park. The white line is its feather.

That is a little heron

I checked the books and website about little heron. The location and pose seem to fit the bill. But what's with that fluffy back and the "two-prong crest"? I can't find any reference to these, nor any similar pictures.
