It's a possibility I guess. Shame it doesn't have the lovely 3" 920,000 dot screen. And lacks the autofocus motor in the body. But otherwise there doesn't seem to be too much missing I guess.

The price really isn't that much cheaper than the D90, looking at digitalrev.com. Strange.

The only prices I've seen are from digitalrev.com. But based on that, the difference between the two bodies is only SGD$64 (after converting from $USD to $SGD).

Are the prices different here? More of a gap between them?
