i think...getting a little more to the left (plus a little bit more of the person standing) might give the needed impact of waiting, reading, squating and writing.

above that...this is a good shot.

yeah...should have framed a bit more to the left to avoid chopping off the calligrapher's bum. this guy was the best calligrapher that day at xiangyang gongyuan (park). :)

took it on film, fuji superia 400, scanned and converted to B&W.

Guessed as much. I haven't been able to achieve the same B + W feel with digital :(. I think for B + W, film rules. :)
