Step-up ring configuration

Hi is it advisable to use a stepup ring in-between 2 filters (i've got a 55mm uv filter and 62mm cir-pl to be used together) would it be advisable to have a 55mm UV filter --> stepup ring 55mm - 62mm --> 62mm cir-pl?
Or what would be the recommended setup?

Usually not a problem until you want to mount the lens hood.

If you're shooting digital, the UV filter is redundant. Go directly with the step-up and CP.
