Not only you. I feel offended as well. I might not be a pro photographer but I m still a photographer after all.

Very soon their posts will be flooded with angry posters, don't worry so much.

Stupid mistake by their admin/PR agency/marcomm team managing their social networking channel.

I'm not at all offended. It's just tongue in cheek, catchy ad line.

Why should you be offended?

if you know your craft well, you won't be bother whatever people comment about what kind of camera you use, right?

probably a photographer will get offended when somebody saying he/she can shoot better with a toy camera/PnS/mobile phone than this photographer using a pro camera, and he/she is Telling a Truth.

100% KPT material.

thread moved.

Sometime I really shoot better with my mobile than using my dslr.

Its how the image you shoot that turn out that counts... NOT what you use to shoot it with...

Apple said that and Starhub is simply copying them. (hmm.... will Apple be suing Starhub in the same way as what they did to Samsung?)

It is true for people who have no need for, have never used and will never use a DSLR. For them a Mobile phone will suffice.

It is not true for people who have a need for the functions and features of a DSLR.

This is merely an advertisement. I have no reaction at all to the statement and will happily use my mobile phone camera + my DSLR.

an advertisement is suppose to get viewers attention,
one of the best way is stir their emotions,

if you get agitated when you see this ad, means they got your attention.

Do you know how many advertisements you come across each day?
just take it as entertainment if you find it is interesting, wipe them off your mind if you find it is sucks.
so don't bother so much about the advertisements you see,
else everyone will end up in IMH someday.

Every craft will be seen by a few to be easy/not worth the money invested/"I can do a better job"/anyone can do it etc

Nothing you can do about it. Same with designers. Anyone and everyone who has photoshop/indesign/illustrator/dreamweaver installed thinks they are good designers.

Proof of the pudding is in the eating. I don't see why anyone should be offended.

I am not a photographer... just someone who happen to have a couple of cameras. So I wouldn't be offended by that statement. In fact, I kind of like it :)

They will be known as phonographers :)

I think Edison will upgrade to a pro DSLR, 1DX or D4. It will make him feel more like a pro porn photographer.
