Here are my shots from the event - this is my first time cycling down to the venue/route to take photos.
It must have been a great event - judging by the countless 300D's and D70's present, it must have been a photographer's delight to find countless interesting moments of human agony, delight and all forms of determination.
"Pain is temporary, Glory is eternal"
The lead pack of runners were mainly comprised of runners from African nations. They took only about 55 minutes to cover 17k when the photo was taken.
Another look at the lead pack, with the defending champion from last year, John Kelai (number tag 116, partially blocked by an elbow) tucked away safely within striking distance at the 17k mark.
The ladies' lead pack, made up mainly of African runners, and one Chinese runner. Eventual winner Hellen Cherono (#29) is somewhat lagging behind, but with another 25km to cover, she is still doing quite well.
Local runners G. Elangovan (#4684) and Khoo Chin Poo (#1177) are amongst the lead local men.
Ernest Wong (#136) takes it easy as he passes about 1:30 behind Elangovan and Khoo at the 17k mark.
