any idea how to resize or whatever?

i use faststone resizer. Works great, but its for resizing for storage/reduce filesize, not recommended for those who wish to retain all of the original quality.

Shooting Thematically - 2-day workshop
Sat 5 & Sun 6 September 2009
9.30am – 12.30pm each day
The Lab, level 3
$80 per person (inclusive of materials)

Thematic photography has been widely embraced by professional photographers from all over; it forces the photographer to think along the same line for an extended period of time, and this builds the photographer’s thinking and moulds his/her image-making skills. This workshop aims to demonstrate how a group of photographs can be used to emphasise a topic or concept; which is very different from the usual single picture that we are very much used to. The two different directions also bring about very different interpretations.

The workshop will discuss more specifically on the ideology of landscape photography and will also delve into other subject matters that are of strong interest, and are able to hold the attention span of a viewer. These may include relations to historical influences, social issues, architecture, design structures, and so on.

Participants will need to bring the following items:
- A laptop
- A digital camera

Presenter: Chow Chee Yong has participated in more than 30 solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums in Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore and the United States and currently teaches photography in the Department of Visual Communication at Temasek Design School in Temasek Polytechnic (Singapore).

The Paper Camera Workshop

This traditional way of making images creates a beautiful pictorial image quality, enabling practitioners to find an alternative means to create images that defies against the normal way of photographing with a camera. The workshop will first introduce the history of pinhole photography with examples from pinhole photographers, how a pinhole functions, the different types of pinhole cameras, and then the actual making of DIY pinhole camera. There will also be coaching on basic darkroom techniques during the process of experimentation with the pinhole camera. No prior knowledge in photography is required for this workshop.

Participants will need to bring the following items:

If I'm not wrong, the rules also state that the long side can only be 450px max?

Images taken must be of high resolution to be printed on a 42cm x 29.7cm size at 300dpi (2496 x 3744pixels)

My dslr can only take max resolution 3008x 2000...which means i can't enter for the competition even if i want to?
