If you are:
1. Shooting on sunny day (it needs a lot of light)
2. Using pro body (1d or 1ds series in canon) in order to AF at f8 lens

Somehow the Kenko 1.4x TC will trick the camera that it is still at f5.6 so AF still works.

Depends how hard you throw it.

You may take the risk to try. If can't then capture with your eyes lor :) (enjoy the show)
 

just bring both, if you have both that is of cos. :X
 

The Air Force Open house do capped at 500mm. They did check, but so far did not notice anyone got rejected.

For good reasons, Air Force is trying to stop people looking too closely at things that are not supposed to be part of the show. I don't think this applies at the Singapore Airshow. Since everything at SA is only there for the show, there is no reason to restrict the lenses people can use.
 

I brought my 400mm to airshow today.
They never check what lens i bring.
So i dun think there is cap for long lens.
