Hi all. Need advice. I dropped my 14-45mm kit lens. Can't focus. What would u guys advice? Can it be repaired or might as well get a new lens?

Is it under warranty?
Find out from service agent and independent repair techs how much it's gonna cost to fix.
If too much, dump the lens and get a replacement 2nd hand one or a different kit lens, now that the opportunity to purchase presents itself! :devil: :bsmilie:

you are a oly user rite? oly kit lens is not very expensive, can consider looking for 2nd hand lens
Ok guys. Noted with thanks. Appreciated. I guess might as well get a new lens. The lens no longer under warranty. But what would u guys do with the spoilt lens? Can't possibly through it down the chute rite. Ahaha.

I dismantled broken lenses before just to satisfy my curiosity on their anatomy

The Oly kit lens are not ex.
Or if you want to upgrade, you can get the 14-54mm F2.8-3.5 lens..

Dismantling is a good idea uh. I think I should do that. Who knows I can repair it. Hhaha. Anw decided to get new lenses lah. Thanks ppl.
I'm not so sure, guess if a camera claim it is XXX proof, XXX proof, tougher than armour tank, think warranty should cover everything. :think:
