Is it under warranty?

Find out from service agent and independent repair techs how much it's gonna cost to fix.

If too much, dump the lens and get a replacement 2nd hand one or a different kit lens, now that the opportunity to purchase presents itself! :bsmilie:

likely the cost is going to be high. just get a second hand one or buy a new one.
