Spoilt for choice , Photo Printers

Really no idea which printer to get. hopefully can get something that is cheap in ink. that's a very important consideration.

Any suggestions?

How's the performance of the
Canon IP6220D ?
I've always got a thinking that Canon ink cartriages are cheapest around.

Generally, the prices of ink are not that much different among the top 3 brands (HP, Canon, Epson). However, the amount of ink used per print can be very different. Epson printers waste the most ink. I'm not too sure about HP but Canon printers are pretty efficient when it comes to ink usage.

I have both a Canon & an Epson printer. The Epson printer uses at least 2 - 3 times as much ink as the Canon. This is also partly due to more clogging problems on the Epson printer. Cleaning uses ink - lots & lots of ink.

After looking around maybe getting a Canon Pixma IP2200, Cheap and good.

Problem is the medium. Any suggestioins for paper? I think i would go matt all the way. Use canon original paper?
