Any place sell bravia "cheaper?"

Or the price are all controlled?

I'm looking for a replacement for my room 9yrs old 14" Trinitron..

the 20" Bravia B series seems ok lei.. @ $1199..

Suggest you look at the similarly priced panels from LG and Samsung.... check out the specs and actual performance... they are noticeably better for the money. Sony is one big manufacturer that has fallen behind too much in terms of LCD technology.

I got insider information from Sony that their Bravia LCD panels are made in Korea by Samsung. The entire unit is assembled in Japan though.

If the panels are really by Samsung, it is really sad as the specs of the Bravia series looks almost exactly like that of Samsung's previous generation panels.

Hi there all,

This is a little weird, but from what I gather, the Bravia series are one of the best LCD TVs around. There has been rather rave reviews from other forums (ie, http://www.xtremeplace.com/yabbse/index.php?topic=36372.0).

Not sure if this applies to the entire Bravia series, or to only specific series (ie, S/V series).

ask yoursklef ... would u buy a sonny digicam or one from nikon/canon?
why buy sonny when u can buy samseng or physils.

a lot of sony supporter buy sony because of support.
convenient service centre at orchard.
drop off point at all sony gallery. (there 6 of them i think)

but pay at a premium costing.

up to you. v40 looks really good

Welcome to todays world: alot of "shared technology" here & there, OEM here & there
Sony's batteries were OEM from Sanyo
A no. of their digicam's lens were from CZ
The LCD TV panels are a joint venture from Samsung :
