Does anyone know where i can get one locally, and at what price?

Also, would appreciate any info on the alternatives for >21" display devices for photo editing, and if possible, price and availability locally.

TIA.

Other alternatives:

NEC 2080UX - 20" LCD, 1600 x 1200 resolution.

IBM L200P - 20" LCD, 1600 x 1200 resolution.

Samsung 213T - 21" LCD, 1600 x 1200 resolution.

Apple 23" Cinema Display - 1920 x 1280 (I think?) resolution, requires DVI adapter.

Don't know what the prices are like in Singapore. In Australia, the IBM is the cheapest (AU$1999), followed by the NEC ($2300). Not sure how much the SamSeng or Apple costs.

Some high-end alternatives:

Eizo Nano CG18 - 18" LCD, 1280 X 1024

Eizo Nano CG21 - 21" LCD, 1600 X 1200

Sony Singapore does not support the Artisan system here. In fact, they do not market any CRT-based computer monitor here anymore, which is a shame.

Apple 20" Cinema - DVI, 1680 x 1050, S$2,488
Apple 23" Cinema HD - DVI, 1920 x 1200, S$3,788
Apple 30" Cinema HD - DVI, 2560 x 1600, S$6,288

Using of the above 3 is possible on Intel-based machines with DVI (and powerful) graphics cards.

Eh? Not direct connection from DVI to DVI? (graphics card to display)

30" display can be driven only by one card now... NVIDIA GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL only!

hmm... so can i say that
i can use my intel pentium4 pc to drive a apple display?

if yes then that will be good :) cos apple display are much better

The new 20" and 23" LCD display yes, if your video card has DVI port. 30" LCD now only support on the PowerMac G5 with the appropriate video card.

The older Apple LCD display you shall need to buy an ADC to DVI adapter.
