I have bought a Sony A7ii and I have been taking pictures. However, i felt the photos are quite pixelated. Anyone know if this is normal for the A7II? I have sent it to servicing and the technician says the camera has no issues.

Hopes someone can advise what when wrong. Is A7ii image suppose to be like this?

most of this shots. the skin of the person in the picture just seems pixelated.

The pics look fine. Don't see any pixelation. Do you mean digital noise? The skin of the little guy has a bit more noise even at low iso because the face is a little underexposed. Can be minimized with some editing.

Our eyes have more dynamic range than image sensor so we think camera see like us hence the resultant photo. What appears as bright to our eyes is different for image sensor. You can increase contrasting setting to your taste for jpeg output. Notice camera focussed sharp on the balloon panda..it's because it has highest contrast so if you want people to be focused check focus carefully. Also much depens on aperture used that affects depth of field (DOP).

All digital cameras behave similarly in low light..to get sharp focus setting (if you are using auto ISO) set to minimum shutter speed instead of default ISO where camera will maintain ISO and vary shutter speed (longer/slower) which in this case will incease camera shake even with 5 aixs stabalisation..The setting is called " ISO Auto Min SS ". This is especially critcal if shooting portraits or people in low light.

PS of course photo will look pixelated if zoomed to 100%.
Again focus is off..on the right hand bangle of child instead of the face. You can turn on face detection and then off for other types of photos. Sorry about the large gap spacing between photos but in edit mode it's normal.

Here are links for camera settings although it's for 7Rii but some are similar to A7ii..
