Some pics taken on a recent Europe Trip

Hi friends

I just got back on a tour of Europe. It was truly memorable and I took many pictures. Here are some pictures that I would like to share with you. : )

We took the SQ flight from Singapore to Rome. In Rome, we visited the St. Peter's Basilica, Colosseum and Fountain of Trevi. Of course, we ate alot including pizzas, pastas, the famous italiano gelato etc.

The huge grandeur of this famous monument. How did they built this years ago? Simply amazing...the sculptures, the paintings, the carvings etc.

As we had just left the airport, my tripod is still packed inside my check-in luggage. It is a very low light situation inside St. Peter's Basilica and I had to bumped up my ISO to capture any acceptable images.

Here's one that shows how huge the building was. Look at the ceiling, simply magnificent!

Inside the St. Peter's Basilica, at the side, there is a small service going on. Only a handful of people were praying. The balcony at the top suggests maybe someone of a higher status could be seated there during an actual service?

Look at the details of the paintings, the sculptures, the carvings. Very very awe-inspiring. My photos didnt do much justice to the actual place.

You can actually donate some coins and then take a candle to lit it up. Keep the flame going. : )

The colosseum.

We were only able to do a photo stop here. Unable to go in as there was a riot going on by the transportation industry. The southern side of the Colosseum is all blocked. : (
