Bearcat? (binturong), What is that? Are they endangered too?
A ONE-metre long, furry black animal (above) aroused the curiousity of workers at Cheng Hua Garden, near Bukit Panjang, about a week ago. At first glance, the workers thought it might be a bear cub, but after a closer look thought it resembled a racoon.

Yesterday, experts from the Singapore Zoological Gardens identified it as a binturong, or what is more commonly known as a bearcat.
