got it from LORDS. there were 3 sets left and me and my friend got one each. the uncle was friendly enough to help us order a step down ring.

What is this EVF as compared to a normal view finder ?

Batt life is 300 (dpreview). Many of us use 2nd batt, from Eastgear.

EVF is not as bright as optical view finder. No big diff from LCD panel. I use it rarely, only when sunlight is very bright and LCD got washout. (it cannot use optical bcos of it's super zoom)

The new fz7 has a useful improvement over fz5, better lcd. Worth waiting....
