Shot during my cab ride from the Airport to the hotel...

can see the colour version?
if the blue is engaging enough, why not coloured? =)

Yah, if the clouds are not overexposed with blue sky, colour would be nice.
But looking at the exposure on the ferriswheel (well exposed, not shillouette), I think the cloud is likely to be over....unless it was dark that day with shallow dynamic range.

BTW, I am just guessing. Please let me know if I am right.:)

Because I always shoot in mono, that's why. 80% of my shots are in mono, I don't think I should I be obligated to use a coloured version.

Just for your reference, though... Here's the coloured original (ACR RAW to JPEG and Resize)

No, the clouds are not overexposed, check the histogram if you wish...

I rarely overexpose clouds anyway.

Hi theveed,

Of course you are not obligated to shoot in colour, each has their preference and style. We were just thinking that if the sky is blue enough, it would be more appealing to our personal taste. Just sharing our tots.:)

Thanks for your sharing of the original pic.
