There are so many Canon D60 for sale on classifieds.singnet.com.sg
Much more ads then those on Clubsnap.
I think they are trying to sell at a higher and better price, cos they knows that will not be able to sell them on Clubsnap with their price

Nikon D100 and Canon D60 come out at around the same time, Nikon one seems to have better 2nd hand price. No new camera replacing D100 yet...
erm, i beg to differ about this...Originally posted by ivor
With the Canon 10D out, thus the D100 would be a lower in features and functions compared to 10D. In fact, it is a bad sign, as Nikon ain't keen in improving their products.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I think u misunderstand my post. Check the current 2nd hand market of D100 and D60, u will see that D100 is still selling at around S$3k, but D60 now is S$2.5k.
There is no product replacing D100 yet, so no way D100 owner is going to sell their D100 at low price. Not like D60, with 10D at S$2.6k (I guess is correct), D60 owner is forced to sell at below that price...if they wanna sell...![]()

Is it really worth it to sell away their newly acquired D60 at a loss just to get da "not-so-futureproof" 10D?
So wat difference does it make? They will probably tell me: "Oh, yeah! U dumbhead, the latest camera will always take the best picture!"
Well, tats their money...none of my business anyway...![]()
I'm just saying, economy is very bad, a lot of ppl are jobless, ppl are struggling just to make ends meet...Spend wisely...
As always, "Its the photographer who makes the picture"...
Just my 2c worth![]()

D60 owners might afraid that their D60 will drop below S$2k soon, so if they can sell at S$2.5k now and get another 2nd hand 10D at S$2.3k, not too bad, right?![]()

henavs, I think those who can afford a S$3.5k D60 is rich enough to not worry about makan/minum already...they sure are rich enough to upgrade to another model, hence don't really care about loses (but will try to minimize)
Just my wild guess... ;p

Well, that might be a good thing, Kor King...![]()
But considering that they would probably loss about $800-900 in just a few mths. The money is wasted, gone, just like that......It might not seems like much for some, but imagine how many less fortunate ppl can survive on this amount of money. In my home country, Indonesia, it can feed the entire village...
Not trying to give lecture or trying to stop ppl from selling their own equipment...No offense intended![]()
If ppl already decided, by all means, go for it...
I'm just giving my 2c worth![]()

first off... nice meekrat candid you have there
as for the 10D, IMHO it is one of those speculation thread on "how good and value for money <enter your favorite name> will be" when the actual item has yet to be commercially available.
In technology late adopters will always benefit but you need to enter the market at some point. Remember how much pc cost ten years back?
10D was probably what D60 should have been but wasnt and knowing how Canon operates, it will hesitate to tweak something and then market it in order to ensure its prominence among consumers. Canon will continue to do so as it is their mode of operation. And if you think 10D is good, wait another six months to be wowed again. The impt thing is to live with what you have and can afford and use it to its potential.
Incidentally I was at the zoo yesterday and noticed the National Parks Board was having its family day there. I cant help recalling the 1/3 retrenchment the board will be facing. Imagine the next family day... furthermore most of the staff had young children with them... retrenched in this economic climate?
