Will be going to Melbourne for a ski trip. Are there any special filters that I should use to take photos in snowy conditions or will just a normal UV filter do?

Thanks in advance for your advices!

You should master exposure compensation and white balance first, to know how to adjust exposure and white balance for snow.

As for filters, I would suggest a CPL instead of UV.

Info that Rashkae has provided is pretty much what you need to know. Use a cpl.

Have a good ski trip!

For snowscapes, take note that you might also need to dial in an exposure compensation around +1 for proper exposure.
