Smoking areas?

Generally, at least 80% of the smokers I'd encountered tap their boxes and take out the 1st cigarette which is located on the corner of the opening flap.

For those ciggie saboteurs, this is one thing u might wanna take note of.

Hard packs, usually when the smoker opens the main flap, holds the pack lengthwise and shakes to push the ciggie out, there's a 75% chance that the top corner ciggie will pop out.

For those who are taking it by hand, there's a 70% chance they will take the ciggie located on the top row, center right (or left, if the smoker's a lefty).

Usually for hardpack smokers, the chance is higher they draw the ciggie by hand instead of shaking it like a softpack.

Ciggie saboteurs something u might wanna take note for those friends handling hardpacks. ;p

I still get pretty unnerved by backseat drivers and drive like a madman when I get pissed.

Yes, thats what I do at Chomp Chomp.. Waiting for seats, so I stand beside the smoking table, seated with non-smokers and blow towards their direction. They can jolly well get up and get another table cos there are empty tables for non-smokers! All the time!

I dont understand... Why you guys(non-smokers), keep asking us(smokers) to quit? Dont like it just dont smoke, does smokers bother u that much? Dont waste your breath. To be frank, its a habit that anyone can quit if we have the heart to.. But thing is we choose not to. For whatever reason it may be.

Yes, thats what I do at Chomp Chomp.. Waiting for seats, so I stand beside the smoking table, seated with non-smokers and blow towards their direction. They can jolly well get up and get another table cos there are empty tables for non-smokers! All the time!

My take on this issue ....... again . People smoke for fun , image , peer pressure , look cool etc etc . Diff stage of life reflect the need to smoke, it's just the like the chicken and egg story , no right or wrong. Who can put his hand across his heart to swear to whoever his god is and says he never did anything wrong in his god-damn life. If have , I kowtow to him for he is a saint born into this world and his existence is to save the pitiful mankind. Bo right ? Btw i'm a smoker :devil: .

We all know smoking is bad , carcinogenic blah blah blah ... come on lah we all know engerlish leh , so many the warning liao , on ciggy box , TV , poster etc etc and yet people keep telling us this and that. At this pt , I would like to quote a famous politician , XXX xiang ge lao tai po , luo luo suo suo. If you happen to be in the open with smokers ard , 1) either you move away and go elsewhere suck thumb, 2) Politely , ask the smoker to put away his ciggy as your child is nearby etc etc (Although some bengs/lians may give you hard stares and ask u "simi dai chi ?" , but nevertheless , smokers are generally ethical nowadays and I for one would put out my ciggy) 3) Shut up and embrace the freedom of air

Non-smokers generally did not execute the above but show signs of displeasure by 1) fanning their hands against their nose as if sarin gas is nearby 2) Give you the 'LOOK' machiam u just landed on earth from Mars 3) Giving out some irritating sound machiam they did not go for speech therapy when they were young e.g zerg zerg zerg shaking their head simutaneously.

I think in US , if they implement this kind of thing , they would have got sued for million of dollars for discrimination.

A lil true story

Months before the launch of the smoke free makan area (aka ORA) campaign, a shop owner was approached by an officer. At that time, some japanese tourist lit the ciggi and the officer found it a good excuse to step in to reprimand the shop owner and to remind him to draw up the yellow box. Apologies were offered and the owner said those were tourists and would be difficult to offend them.
The owner got out onto the refreshment area and chat up with the officer. Guess what? The officer (illegally) lit up a ciggi and said "You know, sooner or later, everyone will learn to smoke within the yellow box."
Then the owner said it would be ridiculous since it was a very small refreshment area and would look rather silly with a 12 inch square box, right?.
The officer replied, "to discourage smoking, just draw a tiny spot so barely one person can stand in lah."

The story here is about ego. When some great guys want something, they want it like sex on viagra. After that, they just puff a ciggi and said what a good "fish" they had. then they go on to the next target.

As for the relevance to link cancer to ciggi, these are just statistics and from surveys. I have studied statistics long enough to realise it's all imaginery with given assumptions.

In fact, i realised that standing in a bus terminal is an even worse torture with diesel exhaust fumes for passengers to be.

BTW, Deng Xiao Peng smoked till he was 92. He died gloriously!

Guys, chill out. It's only a bloody campaign!
