A first try of smoke shots.
taken at 1/100 at ISO800 with smoke from incent sticks. 1/100 is actually the lower limit for the shutter speed but i had not more light available. Aperture is f8 also there a bit more would be great cause the smoke tends to go in all sorts of directions and that very fast, making refocusing difficult. AF is not much of use as much of the contours are not defined enough are not there long enough.
Shot with D70 and Voigtlander APO 125mm.

yes i had to push by about one stop...
will try to reduce noise more, thanks

thank you, the 2nd is one of the first ones and after 300 odd shots still one of the best shapes i got.

can use a spoon to block/collect the smoke from the souce so it will be more stable and concentrated

mmmh interesting concept, have you tried that? i found that the smoke goes crazy with the slightest airmovement... nothing ot scoope or collect....
