Should it be a safe bet to find special deals on digicams?
Will the price be lower than normal?

Normally u can get better price in Peninsular area than Sitex/ Comex/ PCShow/ etc.

They usually will not lower the price but instead will give out freebies such as bag, memory card etc

Confirmed. They won't be there. The show seem more like a IT exhibition this year.

In general Cathay Photo will have better price than the Sitex offer.

Sometimes when you are a regular customer of a certain shop ,you could expect quite a resonable and competitive prices! If there is a promotion going on you will also get the same freebies from any distributor ,no need to go ot SITEX or Comex.to sweat yourself in the long que!!!

Was there this morning. Confirmed, the big guns are not there. Only Harvey Norman is there with some of the cameras.

went there today. One of the stalls selling a Sony DV writer for $79..... normally around $129

The only company with a range of digital cams was Panasonic

Eastgear is heavily promoting their PDA based GPS

No real deals on memory cards

32" LCD tv (Korean brand) selling for $1699 ...... not bad colors

Models were aplenty but nobody worth ogling at......ha ha!

food and refreshments area quite plentiful this year

the show occupy halls 4 and 5

oh well... it has already been reported dat the big cam companies are only doing 2 shows a year liao. so, no surprises they are not present in sitex.

comes wif 1 gig, tripod, cleaning kit, screen protector n $90 print voucher
