founder of singapore.

was walking ard clark quay and esplanade area, and came upon this statue.

its my first outing with my new camera. =D

i think its kinda not straight, but can't do any processing or much describing now cos im not home =x im well. serving the nation =D

The Victoria Concert hall complicates the picture and the sun is hurting my eyes.

Raffles' face is too dark.

I think you should avoid taking the picture when the sun is sky high casting shadow all over Sir Thomas Raffles's face.

Better off if picture is taken from the bottom left show the statue standing tall and omitting the concert hall.

Same sentiments as dOlBy.

Also, the photo appears to be tilted.
Wonder if you did it on purpose, but suggest not for this piece as it did not enhance any effect.

You may want to try shooting at the later time of the day where the light condition is more ideal.

Composition can be improved, subject not centred properly. But quite a good perspective :)
