i think need to do a double chk on the dates cos dates stated on the Wuzhong site is 6-12 Sept @ Taka

Thanks for the lead

timings all wrong from the ngeeann city website ?

there they put at nite timing one

So is the competition in the day or night??

all competitions are held at night. if u want to get a good position, advised to go early and chop place. =) troupes normally come in around late noon, do the prayers, competition normally officially starts around 7++

Ya i just emailed them too cos according to their site's schedule, timings were all in the day but email response mentioned starting at 7pm....confused!!! Anyway waiting for their reply....Word of caution: This is a non flash event so for those going down, need to have a fast lens!

today will have the opening ceremony so the actual competition will start at 730pm or so. subsequent days will start at 7pm.

The freestyle event will have the lions up on the poles most of the time. So it doesn't means the front row seats will be the best. Also need a long and fast lens coupled with high ISO.

also do note the flood lights around. there should be two. one facing the judges, one facing ngee ann city entrance.

Like going to rain lol

Yup...got reply from Wuzhong saying the schedule i linked is actually the timetable for the various teams to practice or try their setup or do prayers etc. All actual competitions will start 7pm.

time to go down and practise before the finals :D

The flood lights there can either kill you or help you, be there at around 6pm and choose your seats wisely..

sorry just wanna confirm so its on until saturday night from 7pm onwards at the nee ann civic plaza right?

Yup, today is the traditional lion dance championship..
