Welcome to the CS Singapore Leica Camera Price Guide 2012

This has been in the works since the beginning of the year and I hope that RFers and would-be RFers find this information useful. I have heard many sceptics giving feedback that there is no point having a Leica price guide, for various reasons including "buying Leica is an emotional decision", "prices fluctuates", "buy overseas cheaper"... and while I do agree with some of these comments, I do know that when I started out in RF journey, or starting any system at that matter, a price guide was something very useful to have, so that I had an idea of the absolute and relative prices for the various products in making my decision to take the plunge... or not...

Further, there is a huge variety of used vintages and current lenses... and while I know that makes up the bulk of the transactions, there are too many variables involved to consider to a load into a simple price guide - the vintage, the condition, the accessories, etc.
Instead, this price guide only focuses on NEW Leica camera equipment available and bought in Singapore.

- Prices are Suggested Retail Price (SRP), unless otherwise stated.
- Prices are in Singapore Dollar (SGD) and inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST)

When you visit a Leica store , you will feel like you are in a Camera Boutique. As such, the owners are giving you the impression that "if you can't afford it, don't ask for the prices" .... :bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie:

Joke aside, yes, if you talk serious with them, they will offer you a few percentages off .... and off the record, the salesgirl will tell you that most buyers will not ask for it :sweat::sweat:

FYI, there are now 3 Leica outlets in Singapore - Raffles Hotel, Mandarin Gallery and Ion.

Wandered into the MG branch by accident over the weekend and was informed they are currently offering 'Pro Packages'

S-series body+3 lenses+Flash+2 batteries+charger = $55k+ (sorry can't remember exact amount)

M-series body purchase entitles buyer to 10% discount on up to 3 lenses

Packages available 'while stocks last', i.e. no set end date announced yet

Hey Thoth, I was there recently and it's at Level 3 next to Longchamp. A little hard to find cos it's round the corner. Haha.

The 35 lux fle is SGD 7440 lah. hahaha

Leica store at ion officially just opened. I'm a proud Leica owner and was invited to the launch of the ion store, it was great! Heard they are also tying up with Paul smith to make a special edition camera

There is now a store at Vivo City. It is more like a large kiosk. The salesperson told me that this is a new concept to make Leica more approachable. It definitely attract more people to look at the compact models.
